Make A Difference Challenge 2026

This toolkit supports teachers to deliver the Make a Difference Challenge, a structured, pupil-led social action programme that enables children to develop advocacy skills, build belonging and a strong sense of agency. Through real-world learning, pupils explore issues that matter to them, recognise that their voices have value, and experience how working together can create positive change. The toolkit guides you through each stage of the project journey, from choosing a cause and building understanding, through generating ideas and making decisions, to planning, taking action, communicating impact, and evaluating learning. It complements the lesson plans by focusing on how to facilitate pupil voice, structure discussions, and support meaningful outcomes.
