Welcome to the Bring About Change programme for young people aged 11+.
Building on almost 15 years' successful delivery of our Make a Difference Challenge for younger children, Bring About Change is designed to support groups of older young people - in school or in a community group - to deliver youth-led community action projects.
Our simple framework will help you provide your young people with the opportunity to identify and research a social or environmental issue that they feel passionate about, then make a difference to this through awareness raising, fundraising or taking practical action.
Thank you to all the schools and youth organisations who took part in the pilot of the programme Jan - July 2022, and whose feedback has helped shape the materials and activities in this resource.
In particular, thanks to:
Georgina Weller and the young people at Lincolnshire YMCA
Tori Blair and students in the Eco Club at Harrow Way Community School, Andover
Lucy Breag and year 9 students at Oakham School, Rutland
Kiera Culbert and students at Rodborough School, Godalming
Jen Cooke and students at CU Coventry
Sharon Hope and year 9 students at Philip Morant School, Colchester
Matt Glover and year 8 students St Aubyn's Prep School, Essex
Kelly Wall and the WE Act Club at Church of England Academy, Hucknall
Thank you also to the Co-op Foundation #iwillFund, who made the creation of this resource possible through their grants scheme, which strives to increase young people's voices in the design of their community spaces.
